I knew Paul through Nick, and Paul helped me out enormously with my work quite a few years ago now. He used evey bit of skill and patience in helping to get filing systems in order, papers filed properly, efficent systems going, and was in at the beginning of sorting out files on the computer. It was a difficult time for me when I was ill, and I treasure the memories of his help, never despairing (although I am sure that he had every reason to do so!) and his humour that helped both John and I. At his funeral his brother said that he wanted the best for everyone, that is so true - he really did. Although it was a very sad occasion his family and friends "did him proud", there was beautiful singing, wonderful words, and a packed Church. The sun shone, and Norton Green reflected what the service was about. Autumnal, moving from one season or phase to another - and at its best.
